John Lennon's killer denied parole....again

strike 3 you are out!!!

Mark David Chapman got denied parole again for the 3rd time, it serves him right. I hope this man NEVER gets out of prison. He robbed this world of a great and peaceful man.

God bless you John, you will never be forgotten.

The man was mentally ill. Don't get me wrong, I'm as in mourning for the loss of Lennon as the next rock fan but I think I can still show compassion for someone who's insane and in prison.

It's hardly less than compassionate to wish that he remain imprisoned, either.Regardless of his "illness" , he is a murderer...

okay, after you wish that it hadn't happened at all, does anyone ever wish that if it HAD to, that he'd missed John and hit Yoko?

I miss John just as much as anybody....but let's look at this logically.

If Chapman's victim had been anybody but John Lennon, he'd have made parole years ago.

We've all heard of cases where a murderer gets parole after five years or so. I'm not saying Mark David Chapman deserves parole, but I'm asking why he's getting the full punishment when the killer of a "nobody" can get off with a slap on the wrist? Why was John's life worth more than anyone else's?

Um.. sure they'll be different, they're acoustic aint they? wink

As for Chapman, the wanker can rot then go burn in hell. Tosser. I was 10, and it was the first time i ever saw my dad cry, as i got older i realised why.

sad

If this man gets a release, I think (and I wouldn't mind) he will die soon, someone will kill him for sure...

Although I never met him I hate him, coz he killed John Lennon!!!! What a waste...
Just look at these pics... it makes me sad.....

But many of them were acoustic on the anthology, as well.

When Lennon was shot, it was the first time I recognized him as an individual, not the Beatles as a whole. It's so sad that that's how I became aware of him.

And it's so sad that one asshole can take out anyone.

McCartney referred to the killer as the man whose name must never be spoken. I like that. People magazine did a story about him with his picture on the cover. I think that's very wrong.
I don't think we can forgive him because of insanity. The fact that he got an autograph earlier says to me that he was more obsessed (with his own glory, as well) than insane.

They should have transferred him to Attica in the first place... then we would not have to be wasting time on this subject.

People will always remember John's music and his legacy, as I get older I start thinking more about John as a man. He and Yoko were very much in love, and to have the person you love the most murdered in front of you, is something I can't even begin to imagine. Sean had to grow up without a father who he adored.

Always remember John died senseless death and we could only imagine what could of been, and for those who say he music would not been as good in an older age, I will say this: I rather have John Lennon around making bad music than to have him taken away tragically away from his wife and children who will miss him in a way we could never.

I'm not surprised he was denied parole, definitely glad.

Even if that somehow did happen there'd be a huge uproar about it-they have to be aware of that I'm sure.

I'm glad John Lennon's impact has remained so huge since his passing, but with a guy like him you can't help but wonder what could have been. Seems that too many times they take away the visionaries, and we're left to assemble our memories from their work.

I have the Lennon Anthology, lots of other things of his work like everybody else and the acoustic album sounds great, but I'd love to see what could've happened with John.

I get the feeling he'd be spending his remaining years making music for himself and drawing and just exploring things even more without a worry.

Love Yoko or not, I'd only wish for someone that has had such a huge impact on me (not to mention the entire world) to spend out his years in happiness and doing what he loved with who he loved.

The most sickening irony is that a man that spoke peace was taken in such a violent way.

His sense of self was inspiring and I hope he remains never forgotten.

"I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me."

This might be true... doesn't mean he deserved to be murdered!

How far do you go with this? "Damn... if only Stevie Wonder was killed after he'd wrote all his best stuff"! Oh, and "Marvin Gayes dad.. what a hero... saved us ALL from years of mediocre soul shite"!
