What are your favorite Janet remixes (you can include mashups and bootlegs as well):

Whoops Now biggrin keep in mind, I typed all that off the top of my dome. I need to pull out my Control: The Remixes CD again.

Best overall mixes: Together Again TIED WITH The Best Things In Life Are Free

I agree with the former. "Together Again" has the best remixes I've ever heard in my life. Album wise, I gotta give it to The Velvet Rope album for all the countless remixes from the singles. I still haven't scratched the surface when it comes to Janet's remixes from RN1814 and janet. -- still collecting those.

Come Back To Me (I'm Beggin' You Mix)
Diamonds (ALL Cool Summer mixes)
Doesn't Really Matter (Jonathan Peters Club Mix)
Every Time (Jam & Lewis Disco Mix)
Got 'Til It's Gone (Mellow Mix)

Great mixes.

If (Tee's Freeze Mix)

I need to check this one out.

Love Will Never Do (Without You) (Classic Paradise Radio Mix)

Damn, I forgot about this one. Most definitely!

Runaway (Silk's Old Skool Radio Mix) (A/C Remix) / Silk's Old Skool 12''
Runaway (Kelly's Bump & Run Mix)
Runaway (IndaSoul Mix)
Runaway (Junior's Unplugged Mix)

When I think about it, "Runaway" had some bomb remixes, too. It's in that upper-eschalon with TA and GTIG. There's so many that I'm still digging for a lot of 'em.

State Of The World (Third World 7'')
State Of The World (State Of The House 7''/ State Of The House 12'')
State Of The World (Make A Change Dub)
State Of The World (State Of The World Suite)

Jotting this down.

Twenty Foreplay (Junior's Jungle Club Mix)

LIFE. Twenty Foreplay gets props solely for Junior's Jungle Club Mix -- that was an undeniable remix -- still hear that one in clubs. A lot of amazing remixes came out around '94-'96 circa janet. Remixed and the DOAD era.

That mix is jammin'. I love the synths in it and the "What Have You Done For Me Lately" sample thrown in. There's this cool little Minneapolis funk piano breakdown after minute 6:00. thumbs up!

Man, y'all made me go dig in the crates and pull out my oldddd Control - The Remixes CD. (This CD is so old it says "Printed in West Germany" on it -- that country no longer exists LOL!)

Anyhow, I'm jammin' to the whole thing, but most especially...

What Have You Done For Me Lately (Extended Mix) -- it's everything you love about the original, but the breakdowns and bridges are longer and there's more synth work and piano solos in certain parts

Nasty (Cool Summer Mix Part 1) -- hell yeah.

When I Think Of You (Dance Remix) -- simply slammin'. Now this is the video version with the extra beats in the intro.

Control (A Capella) -- I love listening to this. It's just Janet's voice and some minor synth work and drum programming in the background. I feel like activating my curl when I play this. HAHA!

What Have You Done For Me Lately (dub version) - I love how it starts backwards.

Miss You Much (slammin R&B mix) - This should have been on the commercial 12" instead of the mama mix.

That's The Way Love Goes (we aimsta win mix) - I like this one better than the original!

All the others I really like I think have been listed already--like the State Of The World suite. That's an epic.

There must be different versions of that Remix compilation because mine doesn't have any acapellas. (though "Nasty" acapella is my favorite anyway).

I love all the 12 Inch remixes from the "Control" album and all the house mixes from the "Rhythm Nation" album.

I saw the 12 Inch of "Don't Stand Another Chance" in a used record store but I don't want to pay what they are asking for it. This is my all time favorite Janet Jackson song and I already have the 45 from back in the day. Has anyone heard the 12 Inch of this song? I am thinking about buying it....it has been in that store for years and no one else has bought it. I don't want to buy it if it is the same as the album version though. You know how artists will fool you on these 12 Inches sometimes.

Yeah, he's on there. She had some help from Jesse Johnson on this album also.

It's an extended version. The instrumental break in the middle of the 7" version is repeated at the beginning of the 12" version and made a little longer. That break was my favorite part of the whole song to get a little more of it on the 12" made me happy.
