I was just about to mention "Climbing Up The Walls" by Radiohead when I read the rest
of your post.

Damn it. When will people realise that Radiohead is not "depressing shit" but really a very
clever band with an eye on the sidelines. They bring their voice from a place that migt be
percieved as very dark and depressing, but their vision stands closer to our real lives than
those of more poppy commercial-fed artists.

Ok, I'm done ranting now biggrin

PS:

I don't think "Oh Father" by Madonna is haunting at all. It's too sugary. It's a nice song
but it's more of a tearjerker than a haunting track.

The only Madonna track that I would consider remotely "haunting" is "MerGirl", simply
for the *haunting* electronics and the extremely intense and personal vocals.

When will people realize that other people have different opinions, and that theirs don't necessarily set the standards of taste.

"Enchanted Boy" as performed by Vanity on Friday The 13th's episode entitled "Mesmer's Baubel". At the time I found that very haunting....dunno why. But that's my submission.

In another post on this thread, you state that people need to realize that everyone has different musical tastes, and then you turn around and make comments about me liking Metallica, and how they're crap. shrug I don't think there's anything wrong with not understanding others tastes in artists, and I'll say so too if I don't like a particular band/artist.

S/he asked if you had anything but ultra-trendy bands in your profile. So I suggested Metallica was the chink the armor. I wasn't laughing at you.

And, yes, I'm used to getting laughed at for liking Madonna. Especially on this board.

Meanwhile, you're busy giggling away because a non-Radiohead fan (how could that be?) liked some Joey Lawrence once.
