you remember this mc lyte/positive k track? this and "i got a man" were the jams back in the day. this i swhy i love my ipod...songs that i would probably not put on just pop up out of nowhere.

I remember it...this was before the infamous "I Got A Man"...I remember seeing Positive K being interviewed years ago and he stated that his voice is behind the whole song I Got A Man. I'm not sure what equipment they used in the studio but they sped up the song to make it sound like a girl was rapping on certain parts of the track. He even makes reference to "I'm Not Havin' It" in "I Got A Man":

MC Lyte is my fucking girl. I've loved her since day 1. Her last couple albums have been fly as hell.

And her spot in "Fighting Temptation"!

I do remember that track. I think I was in the 2nd grade when it cam out, and all the girls in my class were singing it.

At least at that time you had some fairly good Hip-Hop.
