DOES anyone remember this rare 80's hit??? anybody ready to go back in time to this one off 80's r&b hit? I dont remember how well it did on the charts but BET used to play it to death in the late 80's..the name of the song is "Tribute(Right On)" by the Pasadenas. The song was a tribute to all the greats of Motown from the 60's..the group consisted of about 4-5 young boys doing Temptation styled dances in the video..
Some of the lyrics were...."Marvin Gaye..whats goin on...Little Stevie..For once in my life..Smokey..Tears of a clown..supremes...baby looovee...Right on..Right on!" does anyone remember this song?

they SUCKED A friend of mine went to that show and he thought exactly the same. Saying that, I definitely remember the tune... I quite liked it.

It was a top ten hit in the UK, hardly rare. They also had another big hit here with 'Ridin' On A Train'. I got them both on 12inch somewhere.

weren't they from the UK if I remember correctly? I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

oh yes, I liked the Pasadenas a lot, especially their first album there were lotsa great tunes... I mean, they didn't break any new ground or sumthing, but they did some very fine tributes, quotations... reminiscing of all of many classic 70ees soul & funk artists. if I remember correctly after the 2nd album they called it quits
