Blue eyes soul back in the day Average white band vs, K.C. and the Sunshine band Which of these band were you feeling back in the day. For me it was AWB. Man I was really in to their music Soul Searching and their live album Person to Person was the shit. K.C. was cool but as far as musicianship man I think AWB was miles ahead of them. so who's your favorite blue eyes soul band, AWB or K.C.

Average White Band was definitely light years ahead of K.C. Don't get me wrong, K.C. could get funky. But AWB had jams that stomped the asses of K.C. and all of its sunshiny elements.

Just listen to Soul Searching or the Person To Person CDs.
KC was IMO more pop. Jerome Smith the guitar player was the element of funk in KC's sound. Jerome died while doing construction work driving a bulldozer while KC's fat ass was out still gigging still using the sample of Jerome's guitar intro on "Get Down Tonight"

Much as I love KC&TSB, AWB. In a funky, funky walk. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Umm....please pick someone else to go up against AWB. KC and nem can't hold a candle to those boys.

I liked both bands, then and now. AWB is on a much higher level of songwriting and musicianship. No contest. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

K.C. & The Sunstroke Band are definitely overmatched here.
How about this guy's band?: Wayne Cochran & The C.C. Riders (dig the band's mini-capes.) He was described as a white James Brown. Before you pass out from laughter, Jaco Pastorius used to play with these guys. They may look funny but these cats could play. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I can't get past the image. Hell, Jimi played with James, who's superbad. So I guess he and Wayne both helped "break" some great artists. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
