Question about a song from 1982. There was a song released on a 12 Inch in 1982. It was a rap song called either "The Whip" or "Whip It". I'm not talking about the Treacherous Three, this was another group. The song was inspired by the Dazz Band's "Let It Whip". I don't think it was sampled but the groove was definately in there.
In the early 1990s, Mario did another "Whip" song and it featured a sample of this song and the Dazz Band's "Let It Whip". Who is the artist and the correct name of this song? I'm thinking it is "The Whip" by The Disco Four. Andy is a four letter word. | |
