#4 With or Without You - U2
#5 Faith - George Michael
#6 What's Love Got to Do With It- Tina Turner
#7 Time after Time - Cyndi Lauper
#8 I Love Rock N' Roll- Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
#9 Like A Prayer - Madonna

Thanks to all for participating , voting and discussing some of the tunes of the 80's.

If there is interest... in a week or two I can start up another Retro Song Survivor . Would you like to do another round of 80's tunes or should we dive into another decade like the 70's or 90's ? Any particular songs or artists you'd like to see put up to the test?

Thanks!

Good job!! that was fun, although I can't believe Wishing Well won!!!

I would do another group of 80's songs and then at the end, do all the winners survivor style and pick the ultimate 80's track.

a couple of suggestions for key 80's songs:

every breath you take - the police
sweet dreams are made of this - eurythmics
don't you want me -human league
hungry like the wolf - duran duran

Wishing Well should not have won. Unfortunately, a lot of orgers are too anti-Michael to vote for Billie Jean even though it's a much better representative of the 80s.

no no no! No more 80s songs, it was fun, but we already have a great winner Wishing Well woot! woot! woot! woot! woot! woot! woot! woot!. Why would we have voted anyway if we don't accept the results confused

BTW, I even counted 21 votes for Wishing Well wink

So the twocents in my own Wishing Well worked fine alright lol

HUH not representing the 80's? Common! It went numba 1 all over this Globe so at least a "few" people back then loved it! Heck I still do.

Love
Lily

Ridiculous. That song didn't transcend the decade, like many others on the list did. It was a moderately good pop song, nothing more.

It's a brilliant song:

Wishing Well (A Tone Poem)

Kissing like a bandit
Stealing time
Underneath a sycamore tree
Cupid by the hour sends
Valentines
To my sweet lover and me
Slowly
But surely
Your appetite is more than I knew
Sweetly
Softly
I'm falling in love with you

Wish me love a wishing well
To kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Wish me love a wishing well
To kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers

Hugging like a monkey see
Monkey do
Right beside a riverboat gambler
Erotic images float through my head
So I wanna be
Your midnight rambler
Quickly
Quickly
The blood races through my veins
Quickly
Loudly
I wanna hear those sugar bells ring

Wish me love a wishing well
To kiss and tell
A wishing well of butterfly tears
Wish me love a wishing well
To kiss and tell
A wishing well of crocodile cheers

worship worship worship worship
