Has anyone given her a try? She's got a new album out, and it's amazing! She reminds me quite a bit of Amee Mann and a bit like Mazzy Star as well. Read about her at allmusic.com and they compared her to Karen Carpenter. I don't know that I'd go so far as to compare her voice to Carpenter's (I think KC had one of the best voices in pop music), but she's got a nice voice. Every song on the album is excellent. It's become one of my favorites this year.
