More news on the new song Madonna recorded with Patrick Leonard...

Madonna and Pat worked again on it in August.Pat flew to London and actually saw one of the shows in London. The sound is described as "Bjork-like but very very sweet",it has a beautiful bassline and Madonna uses her high voice range just like she did in the 'Reinvention Tour' performance of "Mother and Father".It's reminiscent of Bjork's "Hyper-Ballad" but much more pop.Everyone says it is a really GOOD POP song

Sounds interesting.I think it's time for Madonna to release a superb, haunting ballad as the first single from her next album.Hopefully this is it.

The concept and story behind Mother and Father is a great idea but she ruined the song with the mixing and her voice was fucked with in the studio.
I wish it was just an acoustic song.

To be honest i actually liked it better live, and it was good she mixed "intervention" into it. Oh well, different strokes for different folks

Hasn't Madonna been chasing Bjork for the last decade anyway?

I guess this is nothing new then.

updated info:

[Apparently] taken from the Depeche Mode website:

Madonna and Martin Gore

Depeche Mode mastermind Martin L. Gore is working at the moment on
various tracks for the new Madonna album.

According to reports, the Pop-Diva met with Gore during her
Re-Invention-Tour and received some demos, at Stuart Price's insistence.

Last week, the two of them met in London, where Martin presented a
fully-produced some. Apparently Madonna was very impressed.

The new Madonna album should be in stores in early summer 2005.

Martin Gore? Guy Chambers?! What's the name of her next album gonna be, "I'm British As Bloody Hell Now, Tally-Ho!"

I also heard a rumor that she wants to work with GoldFrapp, but I have no idea who they are confuse

Based on all the rumors and speculation we've heard so far,it seems that Madonna is still not yet ready to abandon electro-pop territory. But it's good that she won't be working with Mirwais again. It's time for a fresh start and a more aggressive sound.I think she should also consider working with JuniorSenior, the electro-rock Danish duo that scored last year with "Move Your Feet".That's just the type of track that Madonna needs...a catchy,retro-disco dance track that her core fans would go crazy over.

OK..so here goes. Allison Goldfrapp is the singer of Goldfrapp...a duo consisting of her and this guy (forgot his name). In a similar vein of Everything but the girl/Curve...it's a girl guy duo (they may be dating or something). I believe he makes the music and she sings. They are AWESOME...or as we say here...We love goldfrapp.

SHe has been a vocalist for other projects...including Tricky. She is considered to be one of the "top" vocalists lending her voice out these days. Their sound is very hard to describe. Lush, beautiful, slightly electronic, slighly everything else. Their first album Felt Mountain (a MASTERPIECE), was a foree into the slower side of electronica/trip hop. Their sencon Black Cherry broke that sound with its electro clash (almost invented by them) songs and soundscapes. Basically, I feel they went this way as to not pigeonhole their sound. So to say that a collaberation between Madonna and Goldfrap, would not necessarily mean an electro clash recorrd...their sound is much more diverse.

We love Goldfrapp

OK I have to say, while this is cool news...I mean we love em bnoth right? I find Martin's solo work to be...well lacking. I am not certian of his music skill anymore.

Though it does sound like any of these collaborations mentioned here might produce a slower sound for her...something that can be lush and electro like...if done well.
