Did anyone catch Lenny's interview with Charlie Rose recently. Absolutely no rock star posturing. It was like a different person. I liked that version of Lenny. I hope he sticks around. | |

Why does everyone seem so surprised by Lenny's rock star attitude? He's a fucking ROCK STAR! He's not the mailman or the freaking grocery boy. Sshheessshhh, these's just no pleasing some people. Lenny is acting Prince-like? How? Surely you all are not implyiing that Prince is the only artist to have a cooler-than-thou attitude in the press. I guess nobody has ever seen this little band called Kiss? Come to think of it, practically every rock star that was cool acted so in onterviews. As far as image, Lenny has always been more masculine, tougher, and sexier than Prince. It's a holdover from the Pearl Jam/grunge era ... some people still have it in their heads that rock stars aren't supposed to act like rock stars. They're supposed to hate stardom (yet get on stage every night), despise promotion (yet actually spend the money it gets them) and loathe the music industry as a whole (yet keep signing on). Hypocrisy rules! 
Even though I'm not jazzed about his last two albums, Lenny sure behaves like Lenny. I can respect that. What gets me is adored, spoiled, filthy rich rock stars like Trent Reznor riding the sad train all the way to the bank. Get over yourself! Even though I love Nirvana - Kurt was an ass for killing himself. If he hated the music industry, he should have just quit, like Courtney said. When Lenny has a bad day as a rock star, he writes a song, then gets back to macking white girls while his manservant uses a parasol to shield his 'fro from the sun. You gotta love that! When the sunlight strikes raindrops in the air, they act as a prism and form a rainbow. The rainbow is a division of white light into many beautiful colors. Morethan likely, his durg dependence and crazy relations with Cortney brought him too his death. For that reason, I feel some hold her responsible. I thought it was just people on a Prince web site talking about Lenny and voicing their OPINIONS. What do you call someone who names himself after a fictional movie character and a dead musican or someone who calls people that he doesn't know "losers" on the internet?
