Yes, The Police Made Love Songs. They made some great songs about love and romance. I can think of a few:
1. Next To You 2. So Lonely 3. Roxanne 4. Walking On The Moon 5. Voices Inside My Head 6. Does Everyone Stare 7. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magix 8. Wrapped Around Your Finger Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Yeah. And they were some of the best love songs of the era. Even tho they weren't ballads. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Wrapped around your finger
was the furthest thing from a love song i believe lol at least not how i interpretted unless Sting had quite the affliction with a demon and if it is a love song, great sense of imagery "This song is about selling one's dreams for wealth and power. Mephistopheles is from Goethe's famous work "Faust", the demon against whom Faust wagers his soul for a life of pleasure. (Sorry, but Dante is led through the Inferno by the Latin poet Virgil). In the first verse of the song, the apprentice notices that his master sold out his future for wealth (I can see the destiny you sold, Turned into a shining band of gold). The apprentice desires to be even greater than his master, so he does the same thing his master did, sacrifice a good life for one of greatness. The change at the end (I will turn you face to alabaster, when you find your servant is your master, YOU'LL be wrapped around MY finger) symbolizes the student's ambitions to overtake his teacher. Perhaps it also involves the occult, but the real message is, how far are we willing to go to achieve success?"

They had some very SEXY songs as well.
Sting makes stalking sound appetizing, lol. Every Breath You Take Murder By Numbers? Very sexy, but it's about MURDER, lol. Their greatest love song might be Tea in the Sahara. De Doo Doo Doo, De Da Da Da... I'm so in love with you I can't even form sentences.

I agree with all of your points, and that is a good one, but IMHO, their best is Does Everyone Stare. It is a classic song of love felt and love unrequited. I change my clothes ten times before I take you on a date I get the heebie-jeebies, and my panic makes me late I break into a cold sweat reaching for the phone I let it ring twice before I chicken out and decide you’re not at home Does everyone stare the way I do? I only stare this way at you I never noticed the size of my feet Until I kicked you in the shins Will you ever forgive me For the shape I’m in For the shape I’m in Does everyone stare the way I do? I only stare this way at you I’m gonna write you a sonnet but I don’t know where to start I’m so used to laughing at the things in my heart Last of all I’m sorry ’cos you never asked for this I can see I’m not your type and my shot will always miss Does everyone stare the way I do? I only stare this way at you Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
