What software do you download with?

Just wondering.

What FREE software do you use to get your trial music wink ?

I have been using Kazaa for a couple of years, but it seems to be drying up. Bit Torrent is great for albums, but not singles.

What are you finding works well?

I refuse to use itunes in the UK. They are ripping the british off, overcharging compared to Europe and the US. They refuse to answer any media questions asking them why.

You pay the monthly sub for Shareaaza? Or is there a nice "lite" version to be found?

I didn't realise that was still going. I gave up on it a couple of years back, because all I ever did was queue. Has it got better?

I'm on some password-protected servers. Only like 20 or 30 people with DSL connections or better, but with big collections. Depends on how you use it I guess.

With a leech-hammer program, the main servers can be pretty good. You have to share, though. A lot of people have programs that boot you or queue you over and over if you don't share.

I preview albums and singles. If I don't like them, they don't stay on my computer. If I do, I buy the record. Capice?

I've been to Toronto before!

I went to the Eaton Centre and I shopped along Bloor Street. biggrin

But they give you demerits out there if you drive too fast on the highway.

Sharingthegroove.org is good.....especially for bootlegs and actual concerts. I haven't used it in a while though, cuz it was down due to reconstruction.

I've never paid anything to Shareaaza. I didn't realise that you have to. It just sort of works.
