ATTENTION ORGERS WHO LIVE IN WILMINGTON, NC:


Whether you're an actor, or just want to be, there could be a spot for you in the HBO film currently filming in Wilmington.

On Saturday HBO is holding an open casting call for African-Americans interested in being in the film "My Life in Idlewild," which features the hip-hop duo Outkast.

You don't need acting experience, but you do need to bring a valid driver's license and close-up photo of yourself.

The casting call is Saturday from 3:00 - 7:00 pm in the JC Penney wing of Westfield Shoppingtown Independence in Wilmington

HBO says they are specifically looking for African-Americans, ages 21-50 years-old. They need to be available to work 14-hour paid shifts Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week.

I have a friend working on that movie as a PA. I also keep hearing stories about people running into Big Boi or Dre around town. I wanna see Dre!

However, Outkast did do a show with Fishbone, Macy Gray, and Liza Minelli last night at the Soapbox, a small venue located downtown. It was a semi-closed party-type show, apparently. I was not there but have been hearing about it.
