Wow Souixsie and the Banshees/the Creatures I went to see them at the Warfield in San Francisco last nite and it was wild. First Souixsie got pissed because she was cold and started to cuss and complain about that. They did 4 songs and walked off the stage saying how the Warfield is a S***hole and the employees there are A**holes. She came back after a few minutes and said "this is the last song" so they did Dear Prudence and she sang it like she just wanted to get it over with and leave. I was worried that she was going to pull an Axl Rose. After Dear Prudence she said they would never come back to the Warfield again and she said goodnite.
After another few minutes they came back and she said if it wasnt for us (the fans) she would be gone. She covered herself with a blanket and went on with the show. After a dude got on stage and started to dance with Souxsie and he got real close to her. She pushed him away and cussed at him. Then she swung the mic by the cord and hit him in the face 2 or 3 times. You could hear the thumps right in the face. One of the band members and security tried to get him off stage and the dude dove into the crowd. Later on in the show she went up to the security gaurd and said something and started swinging the mic at him. He ducked then she flipped him off. Souixsie spit on the stage and said how much she hates it at the warfield and again reminded us that they are never coming back. The show was way wild. Souixsie is totally Punk Rock. That sounds cool, did she play a lot of Banshees tunes? When the sunlight strikes raindrops in the air, they act as a prism and form a rainbow. The rainbow is a division of white light into many beautiful colors. Regardless of the day, I'm glad you were born.

Actually she did more Creatures than Banshees. She did Cities in Dust, Dear Prudence, Christine, Happy House, Face to Face and Kiss them for me. Peace and Love!

It was my 5th show (3 creatures and one banshee before). It was the best show I have seen so far of them. I wasn't expecting too much Banshee stuff...I was kinda hoping for more Creature stuff anyway. I am more into Creature Music than Banshees...anyhoo
It started just like I pictured and long build of Say Yes...into Around the World. Then they did the next two from Hai! The drumming was outstanding! THey did Standing there (YAY)...and then Dear Prudence and left due to being too cold (she IS the Ice queen!). My BF was "Throw that bitch a sweater!) We were so hot in there. I think most were there for the Banshee stuff, so they may have been a bit disappointed that she did mostly Creature stuff...again I was in 7th Heaven. They did Killing Time (YAY), But not them (YAY), Really Really good versions of 2nd Floor and Prettiest thing. Right Now, Miss the girl ANother Planet, Take Mine were played as well. My BF was a bit worried for me as I was really getting into it...I just told him the music was so good...get me another drink . Some girls next to us commented on how I was really into the show and thus were having a better time. Asked for which Creatures disk to buy...I replied Boomerang. I have to say, I sorta wish that the Banshee stuff she played was a bit off to the side (like Dear Prudence and Kiss them for me could have been Spellbound and Peekaboo) but since they played so little Banshee stuff, I think they went for the known track. She DID play a few obscure...stuff I clearly did not know. I saw some people really getting into that...so I think that was for them. Was very happy with Face to Face (I figured the set would have to utilizewhat was onstage...so the track would have to be a bit tribal), Happy House and Christine and cities in dust. She also did a song off of the Rapture, but I am not sure what it was. Basically she DID do a little something for everyone... Sioux just had Sinus surgery...so most of it was lower....but after the first few songs, it wasn't noticeable. Again...5th Show...best show...for me at least. And the WARFIEILD DOES SUCK! Ahh... that sounds so cool! I would have loved to see Siouxsie swinging at some guy!! . Oh well... I saw the Creatures for the Anima Animus tour and Siouxsie for the the 7 Year Itch. God I love her! I can't say though that I like the Creatures stuff better than the Bashees stuff. The early albums were great but I can't listen to them over and over again like I can an album like Tinderbox or Superstition or whatever. Did Budgie do the drumming alone or was there someone else accompanying him on the Creatures stuff? The last tour sounded really stripped down... and i didn't mind because I'm such a fanatical fan, but I'd love to see them perform with a proper band. Change it one more time..

Missed the swinging Budgie was playing with the guy from Japan who helped make Hai! I think that was him. Well there was another Drummer and he was Asian. The had a couple of back up singers to hold the notes for Sioux (she just had surgery). It was WAY better than the last Creatures tour. More energy that's for sure. And without the annoying John Cale switches (he should have opened up...only) though I did like her singing Venus in Furs ...anyhoo.. Great show. I saw them first in 89 and this almost topped it...or was right on par. Christian Zombie Vampires

Leonard Eto who performed on the Hai album is on tour with them. He drums on maybe half the songs in the set. For the rest, Budgie drums by himself. Knox Chandler from the Banshees' Seven Year Itch tour is the guitarist again. There was also a keyboardist and two background singers (twin sisters) to fill out the rest of the band. I think this sounded more like a Creatures show than any of the Anima Animus dates I've seen. It's amazing to see Budgie and Leonard do the tribal thing.

The other Banshees tracks she did for the NYC shows were Dear Prudence, Spellbound, Christine, Kiss Them For Me, Arabian Nights, Cities In Dust, Face To Face, Not Forgotten & Happy House. This could be because she left the stage after Dear Prudence. I think we did got the Creatures b-side Pinned Down. Thanks for the link. that was shooting sun. I think We got a long show...at least 20 songs. I feel special now. really. Christian Zombie Vampires

Now we know where Courtney gets her inspiration from. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven
