Kenny Loggins

While I've always HATED his "Shopping Mall-Rock" songs like Footlose and Danger Zone, I've always liked Kenny's laid-back Pop/Soul songs. His first 2 solo albums, Celebrate Me Home and Nightwatch were produced by Bob James, with that CTI/Columbia pop jazz sound, and ever since 1992's Leap of Faith, he's kinda returned to that laid-back sound. My favorites are:

Celebrate Me Home
Why Do People Lie
Love Will Follow
When She Believed In Me (with David Benoit, Russ Freeman)
Whenever I Call You Friend
Leap Of Faith
Sweet Reunion
Enter My Dream
Heart To Heart
I Would Do Anything
Wait A Little While
This Is It
I Am Not Hiding
All I Ask(with Babyface)
Set It Free
What A Fool Believes
Who's Right, Who's Wrong
Too Early For The Sun

Yep, Kenny was cool before he got corporate MOR.
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

You beat me to the punch.
Been meaning to do a thread but never got to it.

You already got the super groovy ones. thumbs up!

To those i'll add...
You Don't Know Me
Daddy's Back
I've Got The Melody
Angelique
Wait A Little While
Now And Then
Keep The Fire
Give It Half A Chance
The Real Thing
Conviction Of The Heart
(for the musical interlude alone)
Now Or Never
Rainbow Connection
(yep, Kermit's tune)
Now That I Know Love
The Art Of Letting Go
Love's Got Nothin' To Prove
The Rest Of Your Life

This cat can blow.
Outside: From The Redwoods proves he's not doing it with smoke and mirrors.
Having the Waters Family and the Santa Cruz Missionary Baptist Church Choir singing background even eliminates the need for vocal backing tracks to recreate the beautiful harmonies.

Unimaginable Life is a super record. Great tunes, great players (including Randy "Dawg" Jackson) and a great story.

I've only heard the title cut from It's About Time where he goes to funky church with Michael McDonald.

Overall, the good outweighs the bad with this dude.

for me this song is one of the finest creations in all of pop music nod I could listen to this nonstop over... and over.. and over... and over... and over... music

I often thought about doing a thread dedicated to this song... to late wink
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

Kenny didn't write Minute By Minute, He co-wrote What A Fool Believes, with Michael Mcdonald. It first appeared on Kenny's album, Nightwatch, but the later Doobie Brothers version became the smash Hit.....(they sometimes perform it together, like on the " Live Under The Redwoods" concert)
