I first got hip to The Runaways when I was really young. I loved the song "Cherry Bomb". I got the self titled album and ended up digging pretty much the whole thing. "Cherry Bomb", "Lovers", and the Black Sabbath sounding "Is It Day Or Night" are the standout cuts.I used to have a crush on Lita Ford when she was in the band, then I ended up having a thing for Joan Jett when she went solo. I actually know their svengali, Kim Fowley who wrote a couple off of KISS's Destroyer album. Their 2nd album from 77 "Queen Of Noise" wasn't as good, but it had it's moments. Joan's song were always the best. "Playin With Fire" and "Take It Or Leave It" were very cool. They had a few more albums without the lead singer Cherie Curie, who had quit after their second album. "Waitin' For The Night" also from 77 had Joan singing lead. This album is super rare, so I'm told. I have all of their albums, I dig them. There is a movie about the band titled "Edgeplay" that's coming out. The o.g. bassist in the band was Michelle Stelle who left before they cut their first album. She went on to play with The Bangles.

Bad Reputation is the shit! I believe Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) produced that album. It was hot.
