I love both versions. I've had both versions since I was a kid. If someone put a gun up to my head, I would lean towards Tavares's version.

I caught a bit of "America's Most Wanted" a few months ago and was surprised to see Butch and Chubby (?) Tavares on it. (No, they weren't being profiled.) They were on because Butch's son had been murdered. The thug that did it was caught too. Idiot!
