So the first round is over (except for a couple of late nominations). Now let me explain the new rules on how to continue this thread (hey, gotta try something different for a change than just count votes)

So we have two teams for both artists. I will randomly select pairs with one member of each team. Those two have to engage in a flame war to support and defend their chosen artist. The orger that get's his opponents account banned or deactivated for at least two days for violating the forum rules will be declared the winner. In case none or both of the opponents are banned, the three orgers from the Undecided camp will vote the winner of that pair. The team winning the most battles will bring their artist out on top spot.





ehmmm... but then again.. maybe that's not such a good idea...

so let's just count votes and say Madonna leads with 13 votes against Janet with 10

I place Janet and Madonna in like the same pool. I loved both when they first came out. Lucky Star was and still is my favorite Madonna track and Pleasure Principle is my favorite from Janet's catalog. Both have fallen off for me! I don't know after a while all that extra stuff just gets on my nerves, some people like it but I get tired of it. Both put out good videos, but I'm leaning more towards Janets videos, Madonna really didn't break any ground to me, the video's really just mad me laugh, and I was thinking "what is this child trying to prove"

OMG, no i feared for this topic.

Anyway my input is obviously i prefer Madonna over Janet any day of the week, just because she's explored more musical levels, evolves naturally and is a much better performer. I like her shows much better.
I'll give Janet the credit of having a better voice, but she's not the best singer because of it.
It's a matter of opinion, that's just mine.
