MJ & Prince on stage with James Brown? I've heard from a couple of sites that Michael and Prince both made guest appearances at the same James Brown concert at some point in the 80s. Anyone else know anything more about this?

This is a sort of thread that pops up every month and makes the people that are here way too long lash out with negative remarks. Don't even bother about that.
Actually, Prince performance that night was not THAT bad. JB first called MJ out who then sang a song and danced (moonwalk). Then JB spots Prince...who is then carried on stage by Big Chick. Prince wants the guitar.... he plays the guitar....kind of. He gets on his knees and does...sumthing Then stops, takes off his jacket and dances with the microphone stand. he screams ONE time.... Then walks off to the side of the stage, where he wants to get around a prop lightpost, but it is loose and he and the lightpost fall off stage. Prince was so ashamed he did not return.... Poor Prince.

Even though the funny thing happend with the lamp post, when Prince got on stage the band was watching him for signals. He was in charge. Michael Jackson seemed taken by surprise when the band picked up speed. Michael reacted to the band. The band reacted to Prince. Who's Bad?

It could also be said u didn't see the clip Btw, it was MJ who insisted to JB that he would call Prince upon the stage. And it was not thát embarrassing for Prince, but it was his "i'm so cool"-attitude that came back to him when he stumbled off stage. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

I was just about to post that Michael motioned James Brown to call Prince on stage. I was hoping that MJ and Prince would be on the stage performing with JB at the same time but from the footage I saw/have, it appears that Michael may have the left the stage so that Prince could do his thang with James Brown. Michael didn't want to come on stage at first, James got him on stage, he started singing, the beat sped up, Michael did'nt miss a beat and started dancing, Mike informed JB that Prince was in the audience, Prince was carried on stage by his bodyguard, they gave him a guitar, he did his thing and a little dance etc. I would like to know what event this was...anyone know??? I wish I had access to the whole performance. Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight

You can find this video on Kazzaa. Just do a video search for "Prince" and you should eventually find it. That's how I got it. My videoclip ends right as the lamp post falls on Prince...does anyone know what happens after that part? I think MJ's performance was very classy, unlike Prince....Prince rode in on Big Chick like a little bitch with major attitude. He threw his gloves into the crowd and I love how someone throws one of them back at him. I'm still not sure of what to make of his "performance".... I was kinda glad when the freakin' lamp post fell on him...that's what he gets for tryin' so hard to be so damn cool all the time instead of just being gracious for MJ and JB inviting him onto the stage. Someone posted one that had the MJ part, but for some reason my realplayer won't play it. Anyone else have a link that works better or has more footage?

I dunno... I certainly like & respect Prince 1000 times more than Mike for various reasons BUT you can't deny Mike was the shit back in the day They're really too different to compare...
