R. Kelly- Braids or Bald? I like his work from when he had his old bald-headed look. From his sensual 1992 classic, 12 Play to his 1998 classy double-disc opus, R., I liked it all. I thought when he released that 2000 sequel to 12 Play, TP-2.Com, which is one of his best albums, he was moving in a new direction: trying to sport a gangster/pimp-like look. Don't get me wrong, TP-2.Com, Chocolate Factory, & his latest, smooth-soul/gospel release, Happy People/U Saved Me are good ones too, but I think that when he was bald, he was at his greatest peak, especially with his 1998 release, R.. So what do you think? Check me out and add me on:

I don't think his hair or lack of it has anything to do with the quality of his output. "R" is his best album, but "Loveland", "Chocolate Factory" and "Happy People" have some great moments. "U Saved Me" is hypocritical, manipulative rubbish though - made with one eye on the impending jury he will have to face. [Edited 9/19/04 6:14am] There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

why does everybody say that? To me his best album was 12play..... 'For You' and 'Sadie' are beautiful ballads...'Sex me' and '12Play' are gems....and 'Bump & Grind' has to be the R. signature tune... even if you don't agree that album will always be a fav of mine.....

You kinda have a point there... Yeah you can call 12Play an all-time R. Kelly classic, but it was his 1998 release, R. that set the watermark for his genuis and music. Also, I like TP-2.Com (a simple sequel to 12 Play) better than 12 Play because it has a much better and (updated) sound. Check me out and add me on:

I like Chocolate Factory too. It's a hidden R. Kelly gem. Check me out and add me on:

I like all his albums except for the very first one and the self-titled one. Although, I like 2 or 3 songs off of both.

Agreed... Welcome back...where ya been? Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

either is fine with me. As long as there's no more "I Believe I Can Fly" type songs. I hate those. "Pedro offers you his protection."
