Duran Duran's new video not on mtv playlist

once again MTV shows what a horrid channel it is by not adding Duran Duran's excellent new video sunrise despite it starting to blow up on the hot/ac stations..Duran Duran is a group that helped put MTV on the map with their videos and you would think they would add the video to their playlist..at least vh-1 has it on medium rotation this week

I can't believe you are suprised by this...heck VH-1 ADDED it in and I haven't seen it...saw Avril's "My happy ending" 4 times since Vh-1 announced it's latest playlist.

MTV plays music videos? Ha! The Old Gray Mare ain't what she used to be. MTV ceased to be about music a long time ago. Even one of the shows they used to help kill off the music focus, "The Real World", is no longer about 'reality'. It's more about how many hook-ups, bitch fights, and pissing contests they can sqeeze into a half hour. No, MTV is only about selling things to 14 year olds. And now its red-headed step-brother, VH1,is swirlling down the same toilet.

Are you really surprised by that? MTV hasn't played real music in God knows how long. Every once in a while they get it like Prince and Musicology but 9 times out of 10 it's a hot mess in MTV land.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Isn't it funny how Duran Duran have been accused all these years of mainly being a video band and now MTV wont play their videos!!!

falloff

Anywho... it doesn't matter. Many great artists don't get play on MTV. It's time for a new way. Besides, you usually have to pay to get played on MTV and radio. No need to spend that money, all you gotta do is sell directly to the fans. We will buy it. I don't need to see my favorite artists on MTV. I don't even have cable anymore! I'm gonna buy the special edition cd of their new album next month, and that comes with 5 live songs AND the video. Then I can watch the video all I want and not have to sit through crappy videos and commercials. Selling directly to the public is the wave of the future.
