Britney sounds like she is shy and not really feeling it...I dont believe her when she says it. Plus im comparing to the original because it's a song that should NOT have been touched. [Edited 9/20/04 8:09am] i guess i've never been a big fan of new jack swing. sorry, just never felt it. because i'm saying i think britney's version is better doesn't make it gospel, dag! my friends and i happen to agree that we like brit's version better...big deal...i'm not telling you to like bobby's any less, lol. in the end, i'm not saying britney should cover a marvin gaye classic or try a little tenderness or something, lol. Well I grew up dancin 2 that damn song with my brother and cousin religiously serving Bobby Brown When i see sum dump remake of a song that i am fond of (and have heard many -a - plenty of times) just makes me wanna strangle her! It should be a crime against non-talented hoes making remakes of classic jams And what really makes it bad is that she samples some of Bobby Brown vocals in the song. I hate to say it but that ho has issues. [Edited 9/20/04 22:08pm]

In case you hadn't noticed, she's already covered "I Love Rock 'N Roll" and "Satisfaction". She does one shitty cover of a classic song per record, so I can only say it must be leading up to something.

Wow that list brings back so many memories. Teddy Riley laid down those beats for real. I have a couple of B. Browns performances on tape (AMA's Soul Train Awards) Ive seen him in concert back in the day with NE, Al B Sure, and Keith Sweat and trust Bobby put on a show!!! Tender Roni live whew!!! He was on top for a moment. I've heard a piece of the Britney remake and just hearing that piece, it's really disappointing to hear that she covered that song. That song was the jam back in the day. And the funny thing is alot of the folks who follow her will think that she's put out an "original". She'll sell millions though, for a below average vocal performance! That's how things go!

Britney is a classic case of child star who grew up, lost their vocal talent during adolescence - she sang on Broadway and was actually decent on Star Search. But then something happened, and once puberty hit, she is like oh i guess i'll rely on my boobs since my singing sucks ass. And some dumbass gave her a record deal and now we all have to suffer hearing about her, not to mention the hearing OF her actual singing.I mean what IS that exactly? Breathing heavy and hung over sounding talking that is supposed to be singing? At least Madonna once discovered took voice lessons and TRIED to improve herself so she could put on a good show, or attempt to. Britney thinks she is the next Madonna, but it is like-what has she really done? Except following up on the shock value. At least with say Christina Aguilera, she can be wild, but damn has she got a voice!

yeah, and when millions of her records fly off the shelves it is all because of her boobs. especially since a large portion of her fanbase is made up of gay men.

I still have a couple of vhs's of Bobby, one of them "his perogative" (a video collection of his first 2 albums) has him interviewed saying he will never do drugs.....makes me sad when he says that! Video ends with a great live performance of "my perogative".....Bobby really was "king of stage"....hehe!
Bobby's follow up ("bobby"-1992) was decent too, if l little too long and slick 4 some.....plus it came out too late and the NewJack craze was almost over.....good record though! As for "Forever"? I do have it but have not played it since I got it many years ago! Have to hear it again, but I was very dissaponted at the time! His presence on "home again" was definately a good one though!
