I Wonder If I Take You Home (exactly how many times has this been sampled?) - Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam The most underrated hit dance song they ever had was "Let the Beat Hit 'Em"...I like that one better than their more popular dance songs...and it was produced by C+C of C+C Music Factory. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

All the lists are great. I'll just add a few in no specific order:
"Galaxy" War "Thank you" Sly and the Family Stone "Body Heat" James Brown "Mama's Always on Stage" Arrested Development "R&B Junkie" Janet Jackson "Let's Work" Prince

I would have to say that THE greatest dance song of all time would have to be "Planet Rock" by the Soul Sonic Force. It has got to be THE most sampled song in dance music ranging from everyone from 2 Live Crew to Planet Soul.
I can't remember one night that I have spent in a club since 1990, that I didn't hear the beat from "Planet Rock" sampled in something. Andy is a four letter word.
