his most recent one is actually quite good, i would totally recommend it.
that's a very tough question... i'd have to give four or five.... Caribou Rock of the Westies Blue Moves Sleeping with the Past Made in England None of these are probably considered his "major" albums, but I love these the best, nonetheless.

My favorite Elton John album is Tumbleweed Connection. My favorite song from that album is Amoreena. In fact, Amoreena is just one of my favorite songs. [Edited 9/19/04 19:01pm]

It's obvious, but I like Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
So many classics, and the lesser known songs are great too. Two albums, with virtually no filler. Check this song out at:

Thanks for the info I didn't know that!! It's worth noting that in the summer of '76,Elton scored a Number One single with "Don't Go Breaking My Heart",but as far as I know, this song doesn't appear on either of the two albums John released that year (a Live album in May and the 2-LP 'Blue Moves' album in October).Strange, huh?

"Yellow Brick Road"
One of the great double albums... "Grey Seal", "Saturday Night", "This Song Has No Title" etc. etc. etc. Not a weak song on there if u ask me..!

i always have had a soft spot for Too Low 4 Zero... i think it has some great songs. Same with Sleeping with the Past.
For the 70's stuff, I like Elton John... the sound of it is very unique and different from the rest of his albums. I also dig Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player.
