me, me!!!! I just went through a major RUSH phase... and got to see them live a few weeks back, it was amazing.
Right now I'm really loving the reissues of Presto, Roll the Bones, Counterparts and Test for Echo. But my fave of all time is definitely Moving Pictures.

My friend is a diehard fan, I guess I just don't get them. Didn't they do a concept album based on an Ayn Rand book? EEYUCK [Edited 9/16/04 20:20pm]

Moving Pictures, Grace Under Pressure, Hold Your Fire, Power Windows.....I saw all those tours. They are amazing live. Or at least they were. Get these allbums though. They are when Rush was at their best, in my opinion.

I'm not a fan, but I liked their show a few weeks ago. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

I totally agree with you on both Rush in Rio - amazing!! and Hold Your Fire - my least favorite Rush CD. Really lame production, not many great songs.

Rush fans either like the old school, middle school or the new school usually. You seem like an old school Rush fan. My pals in high school were old school Rush fans. I never got into them until Moving Pictures came out. Red Barchetta ranks up there with one of my most listened to songs ever. Then I worshiped everything they did until that "Show Me Don't Tell Me" song came out. They lost me after that. I don't think they have been great since then but I'll check out the Rush in Rio. Thanks.
