Force Md's "Tender Love"

This song is on the radio right now...OMG--I love this song! I think it came out in the fall of 1985. What ever happened to this group?

The lead singer Antoine "TCD" Lundy died of Lou Gehrig's disease. Charles "Mercury" Nelson died of a Heart Attack. Tender Love is one of those beautiful songs that I will never get sick of...I remember them playing it in the movie "Krush Groove". Love Is A House and Here I Go Again are two other favorites by Force MD'S.
Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight
Just let me rock you 'til the morning liiiiiiight
It's cold outside
And much too late to driiiiiiiive
You know I need you baby

I remember seeing Force Mds in concert back in 87. The group was one of my favorites by in the 80s. There are a few Force Mds slow song cds along with a Best of cd that are worth buying.

Here are a few cuts off the Slow Jam Cd:

Tender Love
Walking on Air
Couldn't Care Less
Here I Go Again

The Best of cd has Auld Lang Syne

Here I go again is a underrated gem & masterpiece, it's my favorite from them as opposed to Tender Love, which I love as well as everybody who made it a hit. I knew that one of the members died some time ago, but I didn't hear about the other guys. That's life for you, kind and cruel at the same time.

Yes they did! It was released on both Tommy Boy and Warner Bros. labels. Each one is a different version. The TB version is called the "Extended Vocal Remix" and is the better one. I was saddened when "Mercury " passed, but was "Devaststed" when "TCD" passed away. On another thread I listed "TC" as one of the best voices in music and "Tender Love" as my all time favorite song (that's all music) and Force M.D.'s as my all time favorite male group. In 2000 they put out an album entitled "The Reunion". Ofcourse I really enjoy it and I think that others would also, if you can find it. Original members "Trisco Pearson", "Steve Lundy" (TC's brother), "Jesse Daniels" (left after the "Chillin' cd to pursue a solo career), and TC and Steve's older brother (can't think of his name) rejoined the group. He had left just before their "big break".

I highly recommend their music to any one who really enjoys R&B, Soul music. TCD had a voice straight outta Heaven!!!!!

Me and my sister were talking about this a couple of weeks ago. One of the Lundy brothers (Stevie D?) married one of my youngest sister's classmates, "Goo-Goo". And there was this one guy who swore he was Michael Jackson. biggrin

Yeah, "Tender Love" is a great song.

They actually did really well for a few years after Tender Love. I think it's one of the best slow jams ever. Simple song, but beautifully executed. Love is a House was 2 years after that and became their biggest hit. Let Me Love You is an excellent track! Love that song and Tears as well.
