Who sounds like Jamiroquai? I'm really into Jamiroquai right now. I have A FUNK ODYSSEY & TRAVELING WITHOUT MOVING. I really like their sound, especially the upbeat ones like "Little L." Are there any other bands I should check out (past or present) that have a similar sound?

I just hate how Jay K. gets unfairly compared to Stevie. I used to think that myself, but then I started really listening. They're not the same. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Nope. They're not. Stevie's much much better. I think it's clear that he's a big fan of Stevie, and it shows in his music and singing style.

Sure, but I don't like how people just write Jay as this Stevie-wannabe. Are they gonna do that with every white boy with soul? NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I wasn't writing him off, nor was I making that comparison to any white artist that makes that kinda music. Just stating that he's obviously influenced by Stevie.

I agree. I definitely think that Maroon 5 has that Jamiroquai sound. The lead guy sounds like Jay Kay.

Doctor, I'm experiencing the phenomenon of Deja Vu, you know that strange feeling you get that you've lived through something before, that something that is happening now has already happened before. HAVE YOU HEARD
Gil Scott-Heron's Race Track in France? Jamiroquai have seemingly based their entire output on that one record. M.2.K

I've never understood the Stevie Wonder comparison. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Try the debut CD by JuniorSenior .They're a Danish duo that specializes in electro-pop,and their 2003 hit "Move Your Feet" sounds like something Jamiroquai would do.It's got that retro-disco sound, not unlike many of the tracks on Jamiroquai's last album.
