SassyBritches

an old, rare, soul song about bar b que...

i heard this song on a mix disc at someone's party and i would love to have it. i don't know the title nor the artist's name but i know the song is about bar b que. the lyrics were something like "i like bar b que, you like bar b que...". laugh if you will, the song was a lot of fun and is a tell tale sign of a particular period in american history. if anyone knows how to find it or, by some odd twist of fate knows the song, please drop me some info. i'm trying to get a collection of old, rare soul songs from the 50's and 60's...this song would be a great track to add to the list. thanks for any help!

Trying hunting down a tune called "I Like Barbecue"

It's by The Guy Brothers and was released in 1952 on a Chicago independent label called States Record Company.

Good luck.

Ex-Lax is that semi-modern stuff. I wish it had been that simple.
Back in the day, if you had any kind of stomach or elimination problems,
my grandmother used to heat up a small pot of water. When the water was
the right temperature, then she'd sit a bottle of Castor Oil in it for
about 10 mins. Next you'd have to swallow a tablespoon full of that stuff
followed by a teaspoon of sugar (just like the song says) or a lemon to
kill the taste. shake

But sure enough, that stuff would go through you like Drano or something.

The org-folk, armed with with torches and pitchforks, slowly approach chanting
"Too much information, too much information"
