I am..was was a big fan of Xymox... Saw them for the Phoenix tour have everything up to Headclouds/remixes. Even got Ronny and Anka's autograph. Then I fell out (it happens) after remix. Today..I am like hmmm I wonder if they ever put out a greatest hits. I checked and they did. It came out today...weird huh? (I do this kinda syncronicity thing all the time)

But I was looking at the track listing and there are a few songs from the first 2...but NOTHING from Twist of Shadows - Headclouds!!!! I mean why even bother? I am a bit upset right now and listening to angry Marilyn Manson just to get over my angst!

This is not my first disappointment with Xymox...The thing is I was a so-so fan when they were together...and a HUGE fan when he went solo...at least for Metamorphosis and Headclouds...they were right on the verge of the electronic music scene without actually making a dent (same with the underrated Babble...same time frame). ANd then he goes to this Goth Electronic sound I really didn't care to follow. I could have, but I was over goth and really getting into Electronic stuff. I don't even know if it's all that good. I have heard just smatterings and it didn't stick.

I guess I should just let sleeping dogs lie..I guess that after he (Ronny) went back to gothy stuff, his carreer picked up. I don't know.

I do have to say that the albums I have are some of my very favorites and will always have a place in my CD collection. Metamorphosis is one of my desert Island CDs...for sure.

Does anyone out there like Xymox remotely? Would love to hear from you and your thoughts on them...as there have definitely been "periods" for them. Was the return to the gothy stuff good. Are they even back together? I know labels and ex-band members can really create pains when trying to release music that they are not involved with anymore. Any info on the breakup or return to goth would be appreciated.
