This really annoys me A stupid comment like this one, which I have heard before. "NSYNC was what Duran Duran was in the 80's"
WTF!!!! I hate it when they do stupid comparisons like this, the main reason that this bothers me is that a group like Duran Duran busted their asses, wrote their songs, played the instruments, made demos, shopped for a deal, played little clubs. NSYNC and Backstreet and 98 degrees and all those groups all had their Success handed to them, they didnt write, or play, or struggle, they had their deal handed to them, they had the songs handed to them, they had the videos and budgets handed to them. So please stop these STUPID comparisons. This is why people like Ashlee Simpson have Number 1 albums, if U SHOVE IT in everyones FACE 24/7 of course they will buy it, but dont forget they will also forget U a few months later, as opposed to a Duran Duran who almost 25 years later are here. I personally can't even see how the two can be compared. I'm not really a Duran Duran fan, but I can appreciate quite a few of their songs.

duran duran play instruments. they sang songs based on william blake poems and william burroughs novels. they created sub-bands and they produced other artists (at least nick has, anyway).

No comparison whatsover. I love Duran Duran. I saw them in concert about two years ago and they sounded great. Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight

I think sometimes men are jealous because their girlfriends were in love with a member of Duran Duran, so they focus on the good looks and compare them to NSTINK. Sure, they did have a mainly teen/female following and inspired hysteria, but so did The Beatles. | |

DD have grown during their career. They were one of the first bands to take fully advantage of the video-clip, exposing their looks and wearing make-up, they weren't exactly good musicians back then. But a comparison with NSYNC????  | |
