Tower of Power Appreciation Thread Who else out there thinks that the boys from Oakland don't get the respect they deserve. They were one of the first bands I really got into. Sure, they're not innovators by any means, and there isn't the variety or eccentricity in some other great seventies soul or funk bands, but there's a beauty in the the simplicity and straightforwardness of the their music to me, kinda like the AC/DC of Soul.

They went through a bit of a rough patch when they lost Garibaldi and Rocco, but they're back!
