The return of TINA TURNER (new album, tour, movie)

Tina Turner is returning to the entertainment field, not only with a big movie project called The Goddess (the upcoming merchant-ivory production to be filmed in 2005), but also with a new single called Open Arms (set to be released in Europe next month) and a gretest hits set called All The Best (it will be a double album featuring smash hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and new tracks, Tina's upcoming hits for the new decade)

All The Best will be released early november worldwide (Parlophone) and early february in the north america (United States and Canada, Capitol Records)

To promote the new album, Tina will return to the road for an extended promotional tour, and will perform on the Nordic Music Awards, Wetten Dass, both confirmed...a rumoured appearance on the World Music Awards is also possible

Tina's 2000 world tour was the biggest tour of the year (earning $ 80 million only in the United States), Turner's comeback album Private Dancer (1984) sold over 20 million albums while her 1988 performance in Rio de Janeiro (Maracana stadium) was the biggest crowd (182,000 people) ever achieved by a female artist

Last but not least, we have to remember Tina is completing 65 years old (looking real great, still with the greatest legs in show business) and her 45-year-career is, maybe, the most durable and consistent career in music history filled with sold out concerts at the biggest stadiums of the world, over 100 million albums sold, many grammy awards, movies, number one hits, and many amazing feats almost impossible to match

Tina Turner, the queen of Rock, who was a superstar before the Beatles, is still going strong and being the role model for present and future generations of music artists

Yeah so did Elton John, the Who and others. When they say farewell it's not true because their job is the only high they get in life and not the abundance of money.

Cher is still doing her farewell tour, she's been doing it for 3 years. You can tell she really doesn't want to go.

So is it 'Open Arms" the Journey song? I usually like her covers. I'm curious what the album will sound like. I liked a lot of Wildest Dreams, but I didn't care for Twenty Four Seven. It sounded like Tina trying to be Cher a la Believe.
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark
