Monk's Blues: Why is this album so Hated? Why do them critics be hatin' on Monk's Blues  , cuz it's monk with a big band and that's supposed to be inherently incongruous? F&*K YOU, you damn critic bastards I love this album.

Who knows what's behind most critic's logic.
Similar situation with a McCoy Tyner album I mentioned in a previous thread, Fly With The Wind. It got toasted because it uses strings. Doesn't bother me, I dig it. F the critics. You just gotta like what you like. tA  Tribal Disorder

With today's available technologies, that's not as true as it used to be. You've got websites with samples and retailers with listening kiosks. If I can hear it, I don't need anybody to tell me whether I should like it or not. It's a lot easier to be your own critic today.
