Ditto. She can really sing her ass off. She had an album out back in the mid 90's which did well and earned a Grammy for her single "How Can I Ease The Pain." It's a shame that over the years she has been only doing back up for Tina Turner, Luther Vandross, and The Rolling Stones. I heard/read somewhere that she is a REALLY high paid backup singer, though. Luther apparently called her off her own tour because he felt he couldn't work without her, and of course, made it worth her while monetarily. So, who knows? Maybe she feels she can make a great living without all the work that comes from being responsible for the whole thang?? But, I agree, the sista can BLOW. | |
