Definitely Imani Coppola...

...but I can't believe no one has mentioned Terence Trent D'Arby....

...he should be much more popular....

...but I guess he forgot how to write a hit album.

I've always loved Andre Cymone. His biggest success was producing Jody Watley but I would love to have seen him do some more albums of his own.

nod Ditto. She can really sing her ass off. She had an album out back in the mid 90's which did well and earned a Grammy for her single "How Can I Ease The Pain." It's a shame that over the years she has been only doing back up for Tina Turner, Luther Vandross, and The Rolling Stones.

But wait a second, he was big back in the day. I believe his first album "The Hardline...." was a Pop and R&B #1 hit in the States.

I think he also won a grammy for best male soul artist around that time too.

Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't mention HIM on my list! I believe he would have been HUGE, if he had lived....

Howard Jones actually was kinda big in the 80's and he did have some hits himself: "What Is Love", "New Song", "Things Can Only Get Better", "Life In One Day", "Like To Get To Know You Well", "No One Is To Blame", etc.

thumbs up! I love "Fresh Garbage".

I know a few of Spirit's songs, and have always wanted to get their albums. Which one do you recommend to start?
