I'm having a hard time contemplating the fact a hero from my youth may be a paedophile

I'm beginning to realise Mike isn't the same guy he was in 84. I've already decided if he's found guilty to throw everything out he made from 93 onwards but more and more rumours and innuendo are emerging everyday and accusations are going further back in time. At this rate i'll just have his J5 stuff left.

I'm praying he is innocent, but there's too many charges and now admissions from Michael himself that he paid $2m out to another boy in 93. It's not good at all. I'm wondering if my loyalty to this man is misplaced and it's the fact he was such a big part of my life as i was growing up has clouded my judgement on him so far into my own adulthood.

If you're an MJ fan (or even if you're not i guess) i'd like your thoughts on this.

How will it effect you if Mike is guilty and does time? what will you do? or won't it bother you in the slightest?

If you think you're going to celebrate like Al Qaeda did when the WTC came down, i'd rather you not reply. cheers.

He didn´t admit anything like that!! What are you talking about? His latest statement? Of course he said individuals, becuase Chandler´s family and lawers are more than one person AND he is NOT allowed to say their names.

But HEAD UP!!! I know it´s hard! I love Michael also, but still I really do BELIEVE in his innocence! And from what I know about the case, my belief hasn´t been shaked down! But that´s only how I feel. I know that non-mjfans do believe otherwise, but that´s their belief, not mine!

I am not a real fan of MJ, however I do own some of his records and have followed his career. I really feel sorry for people like you comfort and I can relate as I have the same problem with Prince who was a hero of my youth and who happened to choose a way in his life that is damn wrong IMO. How do you feel when you listen to Michael's records Marrk, can you still enjoy them the way you used to? Can you seperate the man and the music and more important do you want to, reading your post I don't think so. I wish there were more fans of artists (not just MJ) who are like you and think twice worship
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I definitely understand how you feel. MJ is not my hero, but I grew up listening to him and his brothers and I love most of his music. In fact, just yesterday I heard Beat it on the radio and I started thinking about the old days when MJ used to put out such amazing music that was fun, exciting and had an amazing beat. I also find it hard to believe that he's in this situation now. I don't know what happened to him, but he definitely went astray 10-12 years ago. I know it's no ones fault but his own, but where were his friends and family when this behaviour began?? Didn't anyone try to convince him that having sleep overs with young boys would only lead to his ruin? Everyone has tried to protect him from so much and in my opinion, it's only hurt him more. During this past year, I've come to the conclusion that he is guilty. I hate to say it, but it's what I now believe. If he is found guilty and does time, he will have to do it the same as any other sex offender. Regardless of who he is, he will be in big trouble with the other inmates. He may be in solitary for his own protection, but life will be hell for him. He needs to admit to his problem and get some help. It's never too late to admit the things that are wrong in your life and attempt to get help for them. I feel sorry for the innocent chidren, their families and MJ's family too. His mother must be mortified. sad

i agree with you

theirs not a doubt in my mind that Jackson brought this on himself
Innocent or Guilty, he chose to live his lifestyle like that and now he must suffer the consequences
But Michael Jackson the music man and Michael Jackson the accused Child Molester or 2 people
But whatever the outcome of this trial
the best we can hope is for Justice to be served

Sorry, but a celeb like MJ is going to get special treatment for his own protection. He would never be allowed to mingle with inmates. He'll be in solitary somewhere safe - not in a min. security prison, for sure, but in a more privileged facility.

I used to separate the man and his music when i was younger. I don't any longer think he's the equivalent of Spiderman in the real world though. Damn! he really was like a real-life Superhero to me (and a lot of people!) back in the 80s. lol

I just applaud you Marrk for admitting to the fact that he may not be totally innocent. I know you're a major MJ fan, and it must be difficult for the fans when something like this happens. At least you are able to have doubts about the issue, unlike some fans who follow blindly. This is not to say I believe he's guilty. Or innocent for that matter. I really don't know obviously. I'm very surprised by your post though, I must say. I often make generalizations about the fanaticism of MJ fans, and it's good to hear that you've been able to see the bigger picture.

OK guys, I have a sincere, maybe stupid, question for y´all too! Can belief be considered as a blind following? I don´t know. Of course one never knows with anything. I am aware of that. But when you follow something for so long, it should be considered healthy to have some belief. And I believe in MJ´s innocence.

I mean if you put belief in religious contest. Millions (or billions) of people believe there is a God! But who ever saw Him? But they believe, right?

There´s a one czech movie which has a very nasty (I apologize to anyone who got offended by it, cause I understand some people might get offended) but wise, I think, comment on belief.
One man asked a lady if she believed if there was God. SHe said she didn´t cause noone ever saw him, there´s no proof. And the man replied: "Well I also haven´t seen your "word for woman´s genital" and I do BELIEVE that you have. it.

So to go back to MJ - I also cannot PROVE anything, I haven´t SEEN anything, but I BELIEVE!
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

They ain't liked the guy since Thriller so they just wanna watch him fall and pay people to talk shit about him in the meantime. Makes me wonder why all these folk keep appearing from nowhere saying they know this and that about Michael and yet if there were so many alleged witnesses why the hell didn't they speak out before? Shouldn't they also be prosecuted for aiding and abetting a crime?

Michael was my hero back in the day. I don't really know if he is guilty or not. I personally think that this is a wake up call to everyone. Mike was IDOLOZED and WORSHIPPED by millions of people. He has the most recognizable name in the world. But he is a human, a flesh and blood man just like the rest of us. We should not be idolizing anybody. It's okay to admire and adore an artist, but Michael's following was a whole new religion. Michael ain't God and he can't save himself or anybody else for that matter.

If you think you're going to celebrate like Al Qaeda did when the WTC came down, i'd rather you not reply. cheers.

Jacqueline Stallone, Sylvester???s mom, is a well known psychic who predicted that Arnold Schwarzenegger would win election as Governor of California. Now Jacqueline says that Michael Jackson is innocent and will be vindicated.

Good comments people!

Me, I always separate music from everything in my life let alone if the bloke singing is a child banger or not.....his songs have no hint of child nastiness in them and r just mainly amazing pop songs.....it is sad people can't separate the personal real life Michael and his music sad

Is he guilty? It really is so hard to tell, but tell me this.....as he knows he almost got caught with child molestation before, do u think he would be so dumb to do it again? Plus knowone would seriously put the person they were molestering on a tv documentary would they?.....Thats like bloody suicide.....

Also, as sick as this sounds, wouldn't he molest his own kids now and not other peoples?

Michael is so damn weird that his very, very odd way with kids may look harmful, but really Michael just loves to hang with kids so much.....remember that while alot of pointers r for Michael being a molesterer, this is Michael jackson so we can't look at these pointers like he is a normal person, his personality and life is so weird, BUT NOT HARMFUL.....just very, very naive!

i always thought that...
most likely yes...
but i think he most likely neglects his kids, with other peoples kids...
Perhaps he should concentrate on raising his own kids instead of others
