It'll be interesting to see what the new album sounds like.Rumor has it that it will be more jam-oriented (like the first two albums) and less "pop" sounding.I really enjoyed their last album 'A Funk Odyssey' (as well as the two albums that came before it) and I hope they don't totally abandon their retro disco/funk formula. It's refreshing to see a current funk band using Old School techniques, and not jumping on the hip-hop bandwagon.

I'm looking forward to this.I hope they can funk me again. They need to get Stuart Zender back. I heard a little clip of his AZUR album. I want the whole thing. And didn't I read that he will be playing on the next D'Angelo cd?

You know that I think a cool album for Jamiroquai would be if they got Zender back or maybe some master funk bassist like Marcus Miller and recorded a cd of new songs all live and have extended jams. I think they are good at pop/funk songs, but their strength could be in jamming. And they have lost that live "warm" feel they had on earlier albums. I want that back.

Since, we are on the topic Jamiroquai. I gotta mention a tid bit about them. Recently, I got tickets to the Premeire of a movie called Napoleaon Dyanmite. In the flick, Napolean does a dance to Canned Heat which is hilarious and off the hook. Have any of you seen this flick?

Jason Kay likes to imitate Stevie Wonder's singing! And yes, I have listened to their albums, but stopped buying them for obvious reasons.

NEWSFLASH: he can't help the way he sounds! He's not "imitating" anybody, that's just the way his voice sounds.Besides,is it really his fault that he has a soulful voice that some (misinformed) people mistake for Stevie Wonder?

lol

I HAVE ALL THE JAMIROQUAI CDS AND I HAVE EVERY STEVIE ALBUM.....I DON'T GET THE STEVIE WONDER REFERENCE. SOME DORK CRITIC MADE THAT COMPARISON YEARS AGO AND EVERY ONE RAN WITH THAT STATEMENT FOR LACK OF ANY OTHER SOUL SINGER TO COMPARE HIM TO. GEORGE BENSON SOUNDS LIKE STEVIE WONDER, DONNY HATHAWAY SOUNDS LIKE STEVIE WONDER. THEY ARE STILL GREAT IN THEIR OWN RIGHT. TO ME HE SOUNDS MORE ROY AYERS WITH A BIT OF MICHAEL FRANKS, AND NOT EVEN. HE SOUNDS LIKE JAY KAY. I HEAR A WHOLE BUNCH OF NEO-SOULSTERS (MEN AND WOMEN) IMITATING STEVIES VOCAL STYLE, BUT JAY KAY IS SO NOT ONE OF THEM. I'M A BIT BORED WITH THE WHOLE DISCO-FUNK RETREADS, BUT HIS VOCALS ARE PRETTY UNIQUE AND IT FITS THEIR MUSIC.

Yeah,it's been removed sad

But if I find it elsewhere I'll post it here (to those wondering what I'm talking about,it was an mp3 of the likely first single "Black Devil Car" )
