Her web site has been updated along with some fan accounts of her recent performances which sound incredible. One of them mentions that she does a cover of ACDC's Back In Black (http://www.resmusic.com/community/news_comment.asp?assetid=751221&artistid=189). I'm really curious to see how this turns out if its on her new album. The reviews even mention her playing guitar. She did an incredible cover of Starship's "Miracles" on the Maid in Manhattan soundtrack. Can't wait for the new album!

Who is Res?

I really like her song "They Say Vision." I think that was the name of it. Plus, she is gorgeous.

Yeah, I seen her about a year ago in Chicago and she broke this song out. She did a damn good job too!

Oh and another thing, at the show the drummer had his kit set up where his back was facing the audience. I was thinking to myself there's only one drummer I know of who has done this, then I was like NAW NAW it can't be! But it was! FISH FROM FISHBONE!!!! My jaw hit the floor! ! I had a chance to chat with him after the show, I asked him WHY WHY WHY!!! Did you leave Fishbone!!!

When is Res' new album being released? I loved the track "Let Love" on her debut that sampled The Cure's "Other Voices". You don't get too many Cure samples in R&B.

SinisterPentatonic...I WAS a big Fishbone fan .....Why did Fish leave Fishbone???? My guess is to make more money....I don't know if you know this or not but he was drumming live for Justin Timberlake...I saw him on tv with him a bunch of times....That's a pretty big switch from Fishbone to Timberlake. I don't think Fishbone pulls in that much cash so I understand the guy's getting old and he probably needs a little more financial security. Plz post back what Fish said. Thanks.

I used to post a lot about RES back when How I Do was still new. I remember I made a thread 2 years ago about seeing her in concert and watching her perform AC/DC's Back In Black. It was her encore song. She performed every song from How I Do, I think. I remember thinking it was a great performance. She was promoted slightly back in '02. I remember her album sat on shelves for about a year before the promo machine kicked in with the "They Say Vision" video and single. She experienced a little popularity with that. I remember hearing the Bastone & Burnz club mix of T-SV in the clubs a lot (it charted on Billboard's Dance/Club play chart). VH1, BET and even MTV were giving T-SV healthy rotation. Then the momentum just died down and disappeared.

Apparently at her L.A. gig last Sunday, she performed several new songs from her upcoming album. No release date has been scheduled yet. But of course, I'll let the org know once I find out. Definitely check out "Miracles" from the Maid In Manhattan SDTK. And if you're clever, check out the hidden/bonus track on "How I Do" called "Say It Anyway" -- I love that song.
