MJ & A New Single/Album?????

Does anyone think MJ will ever make some decent tunez after all his "problems". i mean tunez in the BAD or Thriller albums coz frankly his last album (Invincible) was poor and HIStory had some fresh stuff but half of it was classics and u dont wanna buy an album if uve got most of the tracks in ure CD rack if u know wat i mean. All he seems to talk about now is Saving the fuckin world. the invincible album probably had 2 decent tracks but overall it was well disapointing especially from him.

Any comments.....

It takes 6 or 7 years for him to record a new album i guess... But the magic is away.... Invincible was nice, but not that special.. (too many R Kelly influenced songs)

Ik hope he will produce a great album, but i fear it will not gonna happen again
the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose

There's nine new songs available on MJ's new boxset in November. Three new ones (recorded in either 2003 or 2004):

We've Had Enough
Beautiful Girl
The Way You Love Me

And six out-takes:

Fall Again (from Invincible sessions)
In The Back (from Blood On The Dancefloor sessions)
Monkey Business (from Dangerous sessions)
Cheater (from Bad sessions)
Scared Of The Moon (from Bad sessions)
Sunset Driver (from OTW sessions)

I am not into Invincible either. It´s too sweet or too "technical" for me, althlugh there are few great tunes (Heaven can wait, Butterflies, Rock my world and few others). My favourite is Dangerous album. Anyways I am looking forward to the boxset and see what he´s gonna suprise us with this time... biggrin

I think HIStory is such a good album, even if we had half the tracks already it's convenient having them on one disc. And disc two is *some* of his best work...

I think thats the only thing about Invincible, he took so long to make/relase it that by the time it was available to buy it didn't sound that fresh. I think the 'magic' is still there, 'Speechless' was one of the (two) tracks soley produced, written and arranged by MJ and I thought that was the only track that had a spark to it, the rest were silghtly too predictable, so perhaps its just a case of not working with the right people or too many cooks...
Im sure by the next album (if theres a next album) MJ will have sorted all that out...

No.....I think his music career is over with. As in TOMBSTONEVILLE!!

He won't be doing any comebacks like Prince. But his music and history will always be remembered.

What a great movie and sad story this will all make. I'll a fan of his from childhood. Who would have thought he would sink this low.

I'm so directing that film. MJ becomes a worldwide superstar but then decides to leave to find his lost childhood.

Seriously "Invincible" was mediocre. It was overproduced for one thing. There was some songs where he worked with like 4 other songwriters.
MJ has shown his capabilities with classics like "Billie Jean" "Beat It" "Smooth Criminal" "Bad" and too many more to name. These songwriters are overpowering his creativity and uniquness.

MJ is so creative despite his face was chewed off by Bubbles the chimp.

What really pissed me off was "you rock my world" video, it was exactly like his 80s videos. "Blood on the dance floor" was an excellent video, moving forward with style.
Even his sister Janet is smart enough to re-invent her style- she should help michael.

Janet is able to keep the younger crowd happy while Michael is living in the 80s (a la "you rock my world" video) Janet stays current. That's all im talking bout, i know MJ is more talented, by Janet is succeeding much more than MJ (recently)

MJ's last album called "Number Ones" replaced many of the number ones he had with songs that weren't number ones. DAMN YOU MJ

And did "One more Chance" even chart.

MJ is supposed to be the king of pop! What is happening?????

Janet appears to be keeping the younger fans happy as she is following the current trends. However the "success" of Damita Jo suggests otherwise.

I agree about the Rock My World video wink

Honestly i liked "Invincible" better than "Damita Jo" and "You Rock my World" video better than Janet's current videos.

I think these past years have been an eye opener for Janet and Madonna saying controversey doesn't work anymore.

I think OMC charted low in the R&B charts. It was the highest selling single on the main chart though. Which doesn't meen a whole lot anymore as far as your overall chart placing. I don't think anyone was expecting One More Chance to set the world on fire. It's a nice song with great vocals. That's about it.

Anyway, i'm looking forward to the box set this year biggrin

Actually what really pissed me off with MJ was the "American Bandstand" Reunion performance. I was looking forward to it all night. And he pulled out the exact same Dangerous/Smooth Criminal performance from 1995 MTV awards. These are the mistakes MJ is making.

He should be out promoting his albums himself and not relying solely on Sony.

I agree. He should have performed Rock My World or Butterflies or something. Though the other artists on the show were performing there greatest hits. In that case MJ should have performed Rock With You wink

What made it worse though was he performed three songs from Dangerous and nothing else at his performance at the Apollo later in the year.

I wonder if MJ will ever go on a world tour again? I never got to see him live. I wish he went on tour to promote Invincible- it would have really helped with his album sales. He did however manage to pull off 8 million worldwide which was suprising because i thought it was less.

I saw him once in 96. Even though he basically lip synched the whole show, it was still great to see him dance and shit lol.

I know Steve Harvey told him this year to forget about releasing an album and just TOUR. I think it would be great if he did both though.

MJ should be a guest at one of Princes Musicology tour if he wants to build up his career again. that would be sooooo wiked. On the special edition BAD CD prince was apparetnly gonna do BAD with MJ but he said that the track was perferct and the track didnt need him to improve it.

The nonce hasn't released anything even half-decent since Dangerous.

He'd make more sales from selling his own brand of 'Jesus Juice'.

I can see the commercials now, olive-skinned little boys looking all 'woozy' as they can't get enough of that pure taste of the 2nd coming.
