Mark McGrath, the lead singer of Sugar Ray, has been named the new co-host of the syndicated showbiz newsmagazine Extra. McGrath, best known for the 1997 hit "Fly," is set to join co-host Dayna Devon on the show when its 11th season kicks off on Sept. 13. Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey, the series' senior executive producer, told the Associated Press that she regarded McGrath as "the ultimate insider," given his celebrity connections. (He was named People magazine's "Sexiest Rock Star" in 1998.) Ironically, Sugar Ray recorded a hit album in 1999 titled 14:59, a reference to Andy Warhol's "15 minutes of fame" quote and suggesting that theirs was approaching its end.

I think he's really, really hot, and Sugar Ray had a couple of songs I liked. He has an awful voice though, but I'd do 'im.

This is just a little part-time job for Mark.He's still a member of Sugar Ray,and the guys are recording a new CD that will be released in 2005.Meanwhile,a Sugar Ray Greatest Hits CD will be released this fall.

I think he'll do a decent job. He looks much better with natural brown hair, instead of that highlighted blonde.
