80s Pop classic of the day: "Games People Play" by the Alan Parsons Project (1980) If you were listening to pop radio in 1980,you are familar with this song.I don't know too much about the Alan Parsons project,but there are so many "music experts" around here who will,no doubt,clue me in on these guys.The only other song from them that I'm familar with is their 1984 hit "Eye In The Sky",which I love (remember the awesome video?).But there is something really special about "Games People Play".To me,this song sounds mysterious and the haunting lyrics are kinda dark,for a pop hit anyway ("where do we go from here now that all other children are growin' up"...."games people play in the middle of the night"),but it's a well-crafted composition with a superb chorus.
