Song ID - "...if you do for me, I'll do for you..." Hey, somebody please help me out.
There was this new jack type song that had a female on the hook talkin' 'bout... "If you do for me, I'll do for you..." they say it over and over. I think it was over a Cheryl Lynn sample. Do you know what track it is? Thank you soo much. | |

The song is called "I'll Do 4 U". Father's Day is the name of the album and it also features the song "Treat 'Em Like They Want To Be Treated" featuring Jodeci before they released their debut as well. Heehee.... I used to like this album back in the day, but no-one else was into him (at least here in the UK). Was he big in the States?

Lisa Baby was my jam! Yes...you could'nt turn on the radio without hearing Treat 'em like they wanna be treated...you should treat them riiiiight....the best part of the song was Jodeci singing the hook, they even appear in the music video with Puffy/Puff daddy/P Diddy/Sean John uhh whatever his name was at that time. Puffy was dancing and Bad Boy Records did'nt exist at that time.The video was played 'round the clock on BET. They also played "I'll Do 4 U" alot (check out Mary J. Blige in the video singing the hook). They were all on Uptown records and came out back to back...They also played "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" and Lisa Baby. Father MC's songs were Jodeci's and Mary J. Blige's introduction into the music industry and then they released their own projects with a bang. Last I heard, Father MC posed nude in some magazine.
