Jadakiss slams justin and britney in "why" remix!

"Jadakiss, Nas, and Common have beef with Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC and Britney Spears. In the remix to Jadakiss' hit song 'Why', the three rappers ask why things are the way they are. They rhyme:

"Why aint Rick James remembered for classic hits?
Why do we remember Rick for smackin' a bitch?
Why did Ricky Williams retire, they mad at Miami?
Why did Justin sell Janet out and go to the Grammys?

Why you kill on every song?
Why you frown at the screen?
There's so many thrones, why we argue who is the king?
Why I sold it for the gangsta?
Why I sold it for bling?
Why they hype Britney up, they know she can't sing?"

And Britney and Justin are such hard celebrities to target too! How did they ever think of talking about them?

WHy is this song popular? Aside from a few topics, its not like Jada discovered the Rosetta stones and decided to bless us with his wisdom. Remixing usually means the original song was garbage, or CORPORATE suits are inferring themselves into an artisit repretoire to milk a song for more blood.

I disagree with your theory behind remixing. I buy tons of music (original music and the remixes) because I love all versions equally. There are also a ton of "garbage" remixes that can't even begin to compare to the "great" original. As far as the lyrics, he's just saying what alot of people think and has the guts to put it out there...
Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight
Just let me rock you 'til the morning liiiiiiight
It's cold outside
And much too late to driiiiiiiive
You know I need you baby
I'm so lost without your love

Maybe because people only remember two of his hits? Give it to me (I think that's the title) and superfreak?

I was a kid in the 80's and Rick James had way more hits than Superfreak and Give It To Me Baby. I take the Jada question as the media is focusing on the negative things in his personal life verses his contribution to music. No one is perfect and he had his demons to battle just like a ton of other people out there whether they're in the public eye or not.

He's one of the few.

I like rap/hip-hop, too....but some of the dissing and subject matters are repetative and weak.

BTW...Ja Rule has a new weak track out. Fat Joe and Jadakiss are on it. Fat Joe disses Ma$e.
