The only rapper I can think of who uses their real name is Lauryn Hill.

L-Boogie,,,thats her nickname.

But that's not a name she goes by in the business, like other rappers. She's always introduced as Lauryn Hill, the name on her album is Lauryn Hill, etc.

I don't know what you mean: 99.9% of rappers do go by aliases. Hill doesn't. That was my point.

That's What Quincy Jones used to always call them, and they referred to themselves that way for awhile...I guess that might not really count, though...

Funny you mention that! I always used to wonder why they would always bring in Lee Ritenour, or Steve Lukather whenever there was some serious guitar soloing on a Bros Johnson album...My friends and I used to wonder, "well, why is he even carrying a guitar at this point?" I know he played with Billy Preston, and he guests on George Duke's "I love the Blues, She Heard my Cry" album...

And check it out...I saw him live recently, and he tore it up on guitar, and even did an encore of Funkadelic's Cosmic Slop and ripped it!! ...So what was the deal on their albums?...I Dunno...
