Prince's "God" and Bjork's "Ancestors"

Am I the only one who thinks one sounds like an 00's version of the other?

hmmm

Bjork goes deeper, beyond religion.

I have a different Bjork comparison, though. Listening to the cd last night I heard a few different musical eras... Like I was getting a music history lesson. I thought "This will probably end up being discussed in music appreciation and history classes someday." School is indeed in session, Prince is teaching the music theory classes and Bjork is teaching the elective classes. Ethno-musicology perhaps? Chamber music? She's been teaching it all along, ever since she used those glasses filled with water on MTV Unplugged.
