So what happened to the new CDs by Stevie Wonder and Babyface??

If you go to CDUniverse.com,it says that Babyface's 'Love Story' CD and Stevie Wonder's 'A Time 2 Love' CD are now due on Friday (!) December 31,2004 confuse

What's even more odd is that the first single from Babyface's CD (a song called "Loneliness") came out several months ago and the video was all over BET.

Has anyone heard any news? What's up with the delays?

When he performed several new songs on a recent episode of 'Oprah',I was under the impression that the CD was all finished and ready to be released. Now it seems that it has been delayed indefinitely.

The ceo of motown just left (Kedar), so any album released now would be lost when Sylvia Rhone (new ceo) takes over in September. Let her get in, then get situated, get the feel for the place, then release some records...

As far as Face, i dunno, except that i bet he feels weird that he left Sony for BMG, and now Sony and BMG are the same company!!! (BTW did he get bumped to RCA/J or to JIVE, now that Arista doesn't exist???)

That probably explains why the new Remy Shand CD hasn't been released yet.

Wasn't Babyfaces old writing partner La reid head of Arista a few years back?

By the way.....as soon as La stopped working with face on solo projestsand other artists, Babyface lost the funk 4 sure.....but

"Why"-3T (Michael jacksons nephews)
"On the line- Michael Jackson
"How come, how long"- Babyface

The 3 above r stella later cuts so.....plus that track 4 that eddie murphy movie "Showtime" was cool...that was Babyface wasn't it?

R. Kelly stole Stevie's cover art and Babyface's music and mashed them up into a juggernaut double album:

nod

One of the songs was a lovely piano ballad/duet with his own daughter, and it was quite nice. There is another song that is uptempo and it features background vocals by EnVogue.

Well, I'm not that bothered about it. The main thing is I'm happy he's finally deciding to bring out a new album after how long ... I can't wait to hear what it sounds like.

I thought the Babyface album came out last spring? Allmusic.com shows a release date of March, 2004. Any way, I downloaded it a while back and wasn't impressed.

Nope,it was never released. The original release date was March 23,then it was changed to March 30.But the album never appeared, even though the first single "The Loneliness" had already been sent to radio. The video was all over BET (I think Mayte makes a guest appearance in it).At CD Universe, they're listing December 31,2004 as the release date (!),while Amazon is simply saying that there is no release date yet.And there is no news about this CD on Babyface's official site.I have a feeling that the version of the album you downloaded will be drastically changed, probably because of the lackluster response to the first single? Anyway, this is the original tracklisting...

Babyface "Love Story"

God Must Love You
Red Dress
Getting 2 Know U
Making Love
Love Song
Sentimental Reasons
The Loneliness
Wish That I Could Tell You
Together Forever
Still My Boo
I Promise (bonus track)

Is that the album you downloaded? I'd like to know more about those songs, and why you weren't really impressed with it.How about a track-by-track review? lol
