Are these CDs? If so, they are so damn scary that I don't think even the most hardcore completist would pick them up (which i luckily am not with either of these artists).

When an artist does something new people just can't appreciate it,they despise it. Even young people who'd define themselves as open minded only accept what they already know.

So many artists in History starving because they were innovative and now they're dead people pay millions for their works.

If i saw a cover like that of my favorite artist i probably WOULD buy it (if it was Prince or Michael Jackson and included rare trax), BUT for Whitney and Kylie to be done like that its just makes their music look bad. A cover is like a reflection of the music too. I cant find anything beautiful when the art is makin them look butt ugly.

Now if this was for a MAGAZINE spread or article on them.. YES it would be cool, but come on, not for mass buying consumption...can u expect the inside spread to be any better?

If i buy a greatest hit album i want tons o pictures of my artist with a nice summary on the songs / artist. It just makes the artists look cheap on the cover. If they did that 2 me for my album cover i'd be like aww hell nah, im not havin my fans laugh at me cuz of this.

You haven't seen the half of it. There are a ton of these collections coming out in Europe. Check out the page before for even more of them. Not is the artwork terrifying but the tracklists leave a lot to be desired, even if they are budget releases. Record comapnies should be truly embrassed, cashing in on hardcore fans like that. Nearly all of these artists already have fine greatest hits/best ofs already out.
