The award show was madness!!!! I’m glad P didn’t show up at that crap. How embarrassing. Tony Hawk? was that some new award he received? What’s up with P Diddy’s doooo? Chaka was horrible and Alicia wasn’t 2 far behind. Both girls I love!!! but last night! something was going on with those voices LOL. Usher, Mr. Ego himself gave his all which says very little yuck!!!. Horrible show. Beyonce looked like a straight-out hooker and JayZ her Pimp oops!!

I haven't even read the comments (and boy are there a lot to read) and while I always love the MTV awards even though they go down in quality a little every year, this was just the worst year. It wasn't that it was really terrible. It was just nothing. Anything that was half good (Dave Chapelle making a few wise cracks, Stevie with Alicia and Lenny) was counter acted with something sucky (Jimmy Fallon being teased by the announcer's voice and the Nelly/Chirstina trip back in time). It was just a big nothing. No real big stars, as far as I'm concerned. No Madonna, no Prince (in one of his biggest years ever), no Britney, no legends except for cameos of Stevie and Chaka. I think Miami was slightly to blame. The shows should always be in New York.

I think MTV tried to play it non-biased since they are all about "Choose to Lose" (anyone else notice that huge sign had more close ups during "Hey Ya!" then Andre 3000 and the dancers). However, it did seem like there was no love for the Dems there. Could have been a few rowdy Cons that insisted they would boo to counteract the cheers that were expected. It is surprising to say the least.
