If a company wants to associate your music, face, or persona with their products I think that's an honor paid to the artist. I mean The Gap is not a shitty store. Star Jones does Payless for goodness sake.

This is a different era, artists thrust themselves into multiple markets now more than ever before.


Lenny is singing his OWN music in the ad.
It's not like he's singing a Target or Gap song (or McDonalds song like Justin). That I could perceive as selling out. But how is he selling out just by playing his own damn songs and getting his face out there while getting paid to connect his individuality with the Gap. They want him. That raises his stock.
